Hi! I’m Dale, dietitian, personal trainer and founder of Fit Body Confidence.

Over the 30 or so years I have worked as a dietitian, many women have expressed negative comments about their bodies to me, and said how self-conscious they are exercising in public – even to just walk down a local road. Oh, my goodness! This is just not good.

And then I went through menopause. OMG! Where did my waistline go???

With my square build I’ve never looked or felt willowy or petite, but I have been trim, toned and somewhat fit most of my adult life. And always had a pear shaped body (which is healthier). Menopause turned my pear shape into an apple shape (which is not so healthy). I didn’t like it and it’s not good for my long term health. I couldn’t wear my usual style of clothes. I looked… let’s face it… fat. My body confidence went down the toilet.

Ramping up my physical activity with resistance exercise and becoming a personal trainer provided me with the understanding of how to re-discover my waistline. Along with a journey into body or size acceptance, I have accepted my body is ageing (I’ll never be a pear again), but it doesn’t mean I have to always go with the flow.

So my goal is to empower peri-menopausal and menopausal women to feel fabulous in their own bodies, no matter their age, size or shape, by giving them practical tools to improve their fitness, mindset, and health.​ And to re-discover their waistline, if they want to.

Knowing you are doing the best for your body and health that you can at this moment is what you can focus on, and this will improve how you move, how you feel, and, eventually, your body confidence.

I launched my Fit Body Confidence (FBC) Program to enable easy access to tools which allow time poor women fit in either short 15 minute ‘blasts’ or longer 30-45 minute workouts – depending on the time you have available and your goals. I’ve added in the option of private one to one online coaching for those women who need a little but of an extra push to reach their goals.

The first generation of my workouts has a philosophy of no exercise equipment required, so you can do them at home or anywhere you like. Anywhere you have a mobile device and internet connection. ​

The workouts use the Metabolic RT Method to help you maintain, tone and perhaps even grow muscle, which is perfect to maintain your metabolic rate as you progress.

I offer small group online coaching with Metabolic Reset with Dale and for those who want privacy or have big goals there’s Body Reboot with Dale.

If you live in the Brisbane Inner North suburbs, I offer mobile personal training, so you can do your training at home under my supervision.

Just a bit about me, I’m married and a mum of two grown up children, a dog, and a menagerie of birds, chickens, and fish. I live in Brisbane, Queensland, and love to walk, drink coffee (and tea, and wine, and eat delicious food…), travel, and potter in the garden.
